🌎 Google Takes AI Search Global, But Rivals Push Forward

Google is rapidly expanding availability of its Search Generative Experience (SGE) that provides AI-generated summaries at the top of results pages.

After debuting in May, SGE now supports 120 countries and adds Spanish, Portuguese, Korean and Indonesian alongside existing languages.

Updates include improved follow-up queries, disambiguation for translations, and expanded definitions for health and coding searches.

With global reach and new capabilities, Google aims to make its AI assistant more helpful across languages and topics.

📌 Humane Debuts Ai Pin Wearable AI Device

After months of hype, startup Humane has officially revealed the Ai Pin - a small wearable device that magnetically attaches to clothing to serve as an always-available AI assistant.

The pin features a camera, microphone and multiple sensors, and runs a proprietary OS infused with AI called Cosmos.

It works sans smartphone via Humane's wireless network and projects text onto the user's palm. Positioned as an "ambient computing" device, Humane aims to integrate AI into daily life while reducing screen time.

The Ai Pin's $699 price and $24 monthly fee could limit adoption.

⚠️ ChatGPT Suffers Major 90-Minute Outage

ChatGPT suffered a major outage on November 8th, going down for over an hour and a half.

The popular AI chatbot displayed error messages instead of functioning normally, impacting its 100 million weekly users.

OpenAI confirmed issues across ChatGPT and its API services before restoring access after roughly two hours.

This marked a rare significant disruption for the rapidly growing platform, which reached 100 million users without previous incident, and the outage highlights ChatGPT's reliance on consistent infrastructure as usage scales, amid OpenAI's flurry of new announcements.
