👀 Elon launches new AI company - X.ai

Elon Musk has announced the formation of a new artificial intelligence company called xAI.

The company's mission is to "understand the true nature of the universe."

xAI is still in its early stages, but it has already assembled a team of top AI researchers from companies like DeepMind, OpenAI, and Google.

Musk has said that he wants xAI to be a "third option" to Google and OpenAI, and that he believes the company has the potential to make "major breakthroughs" in AI research.

🤖 Anthropic releases Claude 2

Anthropic, the AI startup co-founded by ex-OpenAI execs, has released a new text-generating AI model, Claude 2.

The successor to Anthropic's first commercial model, Claude 2 is available in beta in the U.S. and U.K.

Claude 2 was trained on more recent data than Claude 1.3, which likely contributed to the improvements.

The company claims that Claude 2 is superior in several academic areas, including code generation, summarization, and question answering.

Anthropic plans to continue improving Claude 2 in the future, and the company believes that it has the potential to be a powerful tool for a variety of applications.
