💰ChatGPT Gains Vogue, Wired, and New Yorker Content

Condé Nast has announced a multi-year partnership with OpenAI to display content from its publications in ChatGPT and SearchGPT.

This move comes amid growing concerns over AI companies' unauthorized use of publishers' content. Condé Nast CEO Roger Lynch stated that the partnership aims to recover revenue lost to technology companies over the past decade.

Several other publishers, including News Corp and Vox, have struck similar deals with OpenAI.

However, some, like the New York Times, have opted for legal action instead. In response to these concerns, three senators recently introduced the COPIED ACT to protect journalists and artists from unauthorized content scraping by AI companies.

✍️ Gemini in Gmail can now help polish up your drafts

Google is enhancing its Gemini AI writing tools in Gmail, introducing a new "Polish" feature to refine existing drafts.

This update, available to Google One AI Premium and Workspace Gemini add-on subscribers, also includes shortcuts for easier access on mobile devices.

When users open an empty draft, they'll see a "Help me write" option. For drafts with 12 or more words, a "Refine my draft" shortcut appears.

Swiping this shortcut reveals options like Polish, Formalize, Elaborate, Shorten, or the option to have Gemini rewrite the entire draft.

These upgrades aim to streamline the email writing process, offering users more control and assistance in crafting their messages with AI-powered tools.
