👀 Apple Glowtime Event 2024 Highlights

Apple unveiled its iPhone 16 lineup with new AI features branded as "Apple Intelligence," including writing tools, GenMoji, and visual search.

The phones feature upgraded hardware like dedicated camera buttons and improved battery life.

Four models were introduced: iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max.

Apple also announced new AirPods 4 and an updated Apple Watch Series 10 with sleep apnea detection.

While US users will access AI features soon, there's no timeline for UK availability.

🚀 Amazon is allowing Audible narrators to clone themselves with AI

Amazon's Audible is launching a beta test for AI-generated voice clones of narrators, aiming to accelerate audiobook production.

The US-only program will initially involve a small group of narrators, with plans to extend to rights holders later.

Participants can train and control their AI replicas, earning royalties on a per-title basis.

Audible emphasizes narrator control over projects and content labeling.

This follows Amazon's earlier introduction of synthetic voices for Kindle Direct Publishing, which has raised concerns about job opportunities for human narrators.
